Sammy Guevara’s medical clearance to return has been granted.

Guevara has not wrestled for the past two months after he suffered a concussion on October 1.
“I don’t remember exactly when he was cleared but it was more than a week ago.”

Guevara missed the last week’s AEW programming as he and Tay Melo welcomed a baby daughter on November 28.

“At the point she was about give birth, it was not necessary to come back before she gave birth, but yes, he is cleared,” Meltzer said.

Guevara, before his injury, had aligned himself with The Don Callis Family in AEW programming to compete against Kenny Omega, his former mentor Chris Jericho, and their rivalry. He defeated Jericho and Omega with Konosuke and Will Ospreay at WrestleDream. Jericho had beaten him in a singles bout 11 days earlier at AEW’s Grand Slam.
