Sami Zayn will be after Gunther.
Zayn said that he thought about how many Intercontinental champions became world champions including Gunther. Zayn told Gunther he now wanted the World Heavyweight championship.
Gunther replied that Zayn was not on the list of legends he had brought up. He liked Zayn’s persistence in getting up. He ultimately turned down Zayn’s offer. Zayn told him as he left that he had defeated Gunther, the WWE’s most famous wrestler, and that he would be coming after him.
Zayn and Gunther last met at WrestleMania, where Zayn defeated Gunther, ending his 666-day Intercontinental Champion reign, the longest in title history. Zayn held the title until SummerSlam, when Bron Breakker defeated Zayn and won the title.
Gunther won his World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, and he retained it this past Saturday at the Bash in Berlin after beating Randy Orton.
