The Undisputed WWE Championship main event at SummerSlam featured the Original Tribal Chief.
Roman Reigns, who lost the Undisputed title at WrestleMania to Rhodes in 2010, made his first WWE performance at Saturday’s SummerSlam in Cleveland. He attacked Solo Sikoa while helping Cody Rhodes keep the WWE title.
In the main event of the show, Rhodes defeated Sikoa with a Bloodline Rules bout. This match included interference from Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, as well as Sikoa’s version The Bloodline.
Jacob Fatu and Tonga Loa interfered for Sikoa. Fatu even put Rhodes through the announce table with a top-rope splash. Owens and Orton interfered in Rhodes’ favor, but were neutralized The Bloodline.
All of this led Reigns to return, who hit Sikoa a superman punt and a spear. This allowed Rhodes to finish Sikoa off to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Reigns wore an oversized shirt with the words “OTC” (original tribal chief) on the chest.
