The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will reunite for WrestleMania.
Joey Janela announced Monday that Robert Gibson would once again team up with Ricky Morton for Joey Janela’s Spring Break 8. The legendary tag team, along with Robert’s son Kerry, will face Mike Bailey and The East West Express(Jordan Oliver & Nick Wayne) in a threes match.
Joey Janela Spring Break 8 will take place at Penns Landing Caterers, Philadelphia, PA, on Friday, April 5. The show will be broadcast live on Triller TV, formerly FITE TV.
Only two other matches are official for the show.
GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break 8 announced lineup:
- The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Robert Gibson, Ricky Morton & Kerry Morton) vs. Mike Bailey & The East West Express (Nick Wayne & Jordan Oliver)
- Masato Tanaka & Minoru Suzuki vs. Masha Slamovich & Rina Yamashita
- Dragon Kid, YAMATO, & Kzy vs. Ben-K, Shun Skywalker & Kota Minoura
Gibson and Morton announced their plans to end up as a duo in 2022. Morton stated at the time that he wanted to concentrate on his son Kerry’s future and work backstage.
Kerry Morton is a regular competitor in GCW and NWA. He was defeated in the first round by Janela at the Jersey J-Cup last weekend and is a member of the Southern Six stable of the NWA.
