TKO Group Holdings announced on the 23rd of January that Rock will be joining their Board of Directors. He thanked TKO on social media for the opportunity in a statement released on Tuesday.
The Rock wrote
It is an honor for me to join the @TKOGrp board of directors (parent company who owns @WWE and @UFC).
A day of historic importance for big business and my personal life.
I now have the privilege of sitting at the table that my father and grandfather helped to build.
Now comes the fun part: we get to work.
We build.

On the Day 1 Raw, Rock returned with WWE and teased the fans about a possible match against Roman Reigns. He asked the live audience if he “should sit at the head” of the table when he went out to eat that night.
The Rock’s deal to join the TKO Group Holdings Board of Directors includes a merchandising contract between the two parties. Rock released the following statement shortly after the announcement:
