The Rock cuts promos on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins before WWE SmackDown in todays Wrestling news
The promo filled in some storyline holes regarding the WrestleMania Main Event.
The Rock has a 21-minute promo on Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins on social media ahead of his appearance tonight on SmackDown.
The promo filled some of the storyline holes surrounding the WrestleMania main event. The Rock claimed that after Rhodes won Royal Rumble he called Rhodes to tell him that he could take the pro wrestling industry to new heights if he let The Rock and Roman Reigns headline WrestleMania. The Rock claimed that this would be the greatest match ever, and Rhodes can always finish his story in the future.
Rock said Rhodes agreed, that even though it would hurt to not get to face Reigns, having The Rock and Reigns as the main event of the show would be better for business.
Rock said that everything went according plan until Rhodes changed the plans at the WrestleMania Press Conference. Rock admits that Rhodes was entitled to change his opinion, but he does not like the way Rhodes went about it. Rock claimed that Rhodes did not inform him of his decision before announcing it at a press event. Rock warned Rhodes he had made a big mistake by talking s**t about The Rock’s Family.
What happened? The Rock called Cody Rhodes and had a chat. It was a conversation only a few had ever had with Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes knew that the biggest match in history was about to take place. The Rock spoke to Cody. “Cody, I know you love this industry, The Rock loves it, and you were born in this industry, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and you. We were all born into this industry. The Rock addressed Rollins as well in the promo. He took exception to Rollins’ comments that WWE didn’t need The Rock. Rock warned Rollins, that as a TKO Board of Directors member, he could make Rollins lose his World Heavyweight Championship to someone else.
The Rock is your boss. That means Seth Rollins. If you keep talking and putting your nose into The Bloodline’s affairs, The Rock will very soon make that World title you wear around your waist go to someone else. Read between the words. The Rock blurred it.
Keep talking, and don’t let anyone else interfere with The Bloodline. This is between The Rock and Roman Reigns. That’s it. Stick your nose in places it shouldn’t be. The Rock guarantees you. The Rock has built his career on doing what he says he will do. The Rock guarantees that if you stick your nose into our business, the World title you wear around your waist, will go to someone else. The Rock sent Rhodes the following message near the end of the promotional video:

Both Reigns and Rhodes for Undisputed WWE Universal Championships and Rollins against Drew McIntyre to win the World Heavyweight Championship have been confirmed for WrestleMania. WWE also appears to be building a Rhodes & Rollins vs. The Rock & Reigns will be the tag team match for the first night of this two-night event.
The Rock will appear on SmackDown’s next three episodes. Rock will answer the challenge Rhodes issued him at Elimination Chamber tonight. Rhodes stated that he wanted to face The Rock as a singles match. Rollins told Rhodes that a one-on-one match against The Bloodline is impossible. He promised to have Rhodes’s back.
