Rock & Reigns challenged Rhodes & Rollins to WrestleMania.
The Rock’s real first match in over a decade is now officially on.
The Rock & Roman reigns challenged Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins on SmackDown to face them in a Tag Team Match at WrestleMania’s first night. This is a high-stakes battle that will affect Reigns vs. Rhodes on night two. The Bloodline won’t be allowed to compete in Reigns vs. Rhodes if Rhodes & Rollins are victorious. If The Rock & Reigns are victorious, Reigns vs. Rhodes is a Bloodline Rules match. The stipulation is that anything can happen.
Next week, Rhodes & Rollins are scheduled to appear on SmackDown to officially present Rock & Reigns’ answer to the challenge.
The Bloodline appeared at the beginning of last night’s show, lasting nearly 40 minutes. WWE began to build tension between Reigns, The Rock and the rest of the WWE team before the segment ended. Reigns interrupted The Rock to say he had a request. Reigns wanted The Rock acknowledge him:
Reigns: You need to do something for me. I’ll do everything for my family but I only need one thing: acknowledge me.
The Rock and Reigns exchanged a few glances before Rock responded.
The Rock: Roman Reigns to my family: I acknowledge you as Tribal Chief.
The Rock explained to the crowd why he recognized Reigns when they called him a “sellout”:
The Rock: Let The Rock tell you something, idiots. This is family. We will do anything to protect our family.
