Rhea Ripley leaves WWE Women’s World Championship after injury in todays Wrestling news
Ripley said that she would be away for “quite a number of months.”
Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women’s World Champion, is no more.
Ripley gave up the title when WWE Raw began, with her arm in a bandage as she entered the ring. She said she would be out of the ring for “quite some months” after Liv Morgan’s attack last week. Ripley warned that she would be back for blood when she returns to the ring after laying the title down.
Liv Morgan was brought out by security after the promo, but she was kept back. Ripley challenged her to attack, and she left the ring in order to confront Morgan. Both were kept apart as the segment ended.
Morgan attacked Ripley backstage in last week’s episode. On Monday, it had been reported that Ripley suffered a serious injury during the segment. She may have to give up the title. She held the Women’s World Championships for 380 days after defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania39.
She met the Judgment Day group backstage and they all hugged. Ripley told her to take care of Dominik, and Priest wished the group well.
