Rey Mysterio issues WWE WrestleMania 40 challenge in todays Wrestling news
Mania could host a match between Rey & Dragon Lee and Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio.
Rey Mysterio challenged Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio to a tag-team bout at WWE WrestleMania 40.
In a segment of Friday’s SmackDown show, Mysterio appeared with the LWO to declare his intention to face Escobar and his son Dominik at WrestleMania in a tag-team match with a mystery opponent.
Rey revealed Dragon Lee to be the newest LWO member and his partner for the WrestleMania match. The LWO then brawled against Escobar’s Legado Del Fantasma.
WWE has not yet officially announced the tag match for WrestleMania.
Last week’s SmackDown saw a twist in the faction war storyline between Escobar and Escobar Legado Del Fasma, which included Rey Mysterio (Dragon Lee), Carlito (Carlito, Joaquin Wilde), Cruz Del Toro (Zelina Vega), and Escobar (Escobar), Angel Garza (Humbberto Carrillo), Elektra Lopez (Escobar). Dominik appeared to temporarily align Dominik was part of The Judgment Day on Raw but had no clear direction for WrestleMania before his inclusion.
Next Friday, SmackDown will feature Vega vs. Lopez, following the segment from Friday. This is the final show before WrestleMania.
