Rey Mysterio hopes Mexico hosts WWE PLE in the next three years in todays Wrestling news
Rey Mysterio hopes to wrestle at a WWE Premium Live Event in Mexico someday.
WWE has increased the number of PLEs held in international markets as part of its new strategy. WWE will be making stops in Scotland, Canada and Germany. Australia and France already held events this year. This is in addition to the WWE PLEs from Saudi Arabia.
Mysterio was interviewed by Bleacher Report about the possibility that Mexico could host its first ever PLE. Mysterio stated that he hopes it happens in the next three to four years.
“I hope that it happens in the next three to four years.” Mysterio said, “I think my people deserve something that is as good as a PLE.” “I am truly hoping. Estadio Azteca is a large stadium that I believe will be remodeled sometime next year. I think fans would go nuts. Crazy. Mexico has always had a huge wrestling fan base. What better way to reward them than by having WWE come over and give them something as special and unique as a PLE?”
WWE will be holding two house shows in Mexico this summer. Mysterio will be at the events.
Mysterio, 49, and his LWO faction make up the Raw roster of WWE. Mysterio, who had defeated Carlito earlier in the week, was defeated by Damian Priest. This set up a Mysterio-Priest match. The Raw show on Monday, June 3.
