Rey Fenix returns to the ring in AEW Collision in todays Wrestling news
Fenix will face The Beast Mortos in his return match.
Rey Fenix is cleared to return to action after six months of inactivity.
Fenix is returning to AEW tonight (April 27). On the episode, he’s going to face The Beast Mortos (the ex-Black Taurus) in a one-on-one match.
Fenix has not wrestled since the episode of AEW Dynamite on October 10, 2023. He has been out of the ring due to a hip or back injury. Fenix believes that this is the worst injury he has ever dealt with.
Fenix’s comeback was expected to happen as soon as he was booked for House of Glory Wrestling on May 5 in New York City. He will be facing his brother Penta EL Zero Miedo in the Cinco de Mayo show.
After leaving Lucha Libre AAA, Black Taurus signed a deal with AEW/ROH and changed his name to The Beast Mortos. He returned to ROH using that name on April 5 at Supercard of Honor.
Collision will air on TNT tonight, immediately following the NBA Playoff game between the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat. Rampage will air after Collision in a live three-hour AEW block.
