Fenix was just returning from a recent injury sustained in the AEW collision.
Rey Fenix has been injured again.
Fenix had been scheduled to wrestle his brother Penta el Zero Miedo on Sunday at House of Glory’s Cinco de mayo event. Penta announced to the crowd that Fenix had not been cleared medically to compete. As a result, this match was cancelled. Penta wrestled Laredo kid in the main event.
Fenix, who had been out of action for months due to an injury, made his AEW comeback on Collision last week, beating The Beast Mortos, Black Taurus. It was his first match since October 10th, 2023 when he lost the AEW International championship to Orange Cassidy in an episode of Dynamite.
Fenix’s return was first announced in the advertising for the House of Glory. He had previously claimed he was out of action due to what he called a ‘old injury.’ It had bothered him since AEW Grand Slam stadium show, in September.
