Raquel Rodriguez updates on her battle with mast cells activation syndrome in todays Wrestling news
This Monday, Rodriguez returned to the ring in Raw.
Raquel Rodriguez made her first return to the WWE Raw ring since December.
In January, Rodriguez, who has eczema revealed that she was suffering from mast cell activation, a condition which caused her to be red, swollen, and prevented her from traveling, going to the gym, or wrestling. Rodriguez said that the condition made her not want to look at herself in the mirror, or be on camera. However, she was grateful for the support of her family.
In a post on social media after her return, Rodriguez provided an update about her battle with the disease.
“The journey is not over yet. “I finally got some answers about what caused this, but it will be a long time before I can get it under control,” Rodriguez wrote in a letter today.
Rodriguez won the last-chance Battle Royal on Raw to earn the final spot for the women’s Elimination Chamber Match. Elimination Chamber will feature Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi vs. Rodriguez on Saturday. The winner will earn a shot at the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania.
Rhea Ripley is currently the Women’s World Champion. She is defending her title against Nia Jaxe at Elimination Chamber.
