Randy Orton, while grateful for the opportunities Vince McMahon provided him, is also happy that WWE has entered into a new era.

Bill Apter spoke with Orton last month, when his father Bob Orton Jr. received the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame induction. In a clip posted by Sportskeeda WrestleBinge Tuesday, Orton was questioned about the positive changes made during the Paul “Triple H’ Levesque era. Orton said that it was nice to have McMahon gone and Levesque as the new boss. Orton thinks management now understands the importance of being home for holidays and birthdays.

“Off the top my head — and listen, I love Vince. He gave me so many chances. I think he was ready to move on. It’s unfortunate what happened. “It’s nice to have people in charge who understand how important it for you to be at home for your birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas,” Orton said.

“Vince McMahon had Raw on the Monday night live. He doesn’t mind if you have kids. Randy, I need you to be on these shows. He looked at me. Mother Nature gets us. And to hear this and go, “Ok, I guess there’s nothing else I can do but wear myself out until I can no longer walk for this man.” And all the opportunities he provided, it’s nice to have him out of there. It’s great that his son-in law Triple H is running the game. Nick Khan is great. Everyone at TKO who’s stepped in and [come in] seems to get it. It’s a different time.

“I think that the way they care for talent today and make sure that it’s good, and if they need to take a little break — we’re all human — they usually get it.”

McMahon left WWE and TKO Group Holdings in January of this year after allegations of sexual abuse were made against him by Janel Grant. Grant agreed last week to delay the lawsuit for six month at the request of US Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York. The office is conducting its investigation into McMahon. Grant’s lawsuit also names WWE and John Laurinaitis as defendants.

On May 25, Orton competed in WWE King & Queen of the Ring, in Saudi Arabia. He lost to Gunther at the King of the Ring finals.
