CJ Perry, AEW’s star, has received another update on his ongoing battle against a MRSA infection.
Perry posted a video to X on Sunday in which she thanked all for their well-wishes, saying that her surgeon had told her that infection was “heading the right way” and that she visits the surgeon “almost everyday” to clean out the wound and redress it.
“[The surgeon] inserted an IV into my hand using a really long syringe. She said that it would feel like fire. I felt a stinging sensation up my arm. It lasted about five minutes, and then went numb. She said it was a good sign..and as she dug deeper, she saw blood and said that we were heading in the right directions.
Perry has been fighting the MRSA infection since last month. She had to go back to the hospital this week due complications. Her last appearance on AEW TV took place on December 30 at Worlds End, when she turned against her client Andrade el Idolo and sided with her husband Miro.
