WWE WrestleMania will not return to Philadelphia in 2026, despite the confusion created this past weekend.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro caused confusion when he listed WrestleMania as one of the events Philadelphia will host in 2026 in celebration of the 250th anniversary since the birth of the United States. The video was deleted and a spokesperson from the governor released a statement confirming that WrestleMania 42 would not be held in Pennsylvania.
The statement stated, “This statement was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion caused by all the incredible events Pennsylvania will host in 2026.” “While WrestleMania will not be here in 2026, we look to continue to work with WWE to bring more great wrestling events to PA in future.”
WrestleMania forty took place at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia in April. Officials in Philadelphia have stated that they would love to host the event once again.
WrestleMania will be held in Las Vegas, at Allegiant Stadium, in April 2025. We also know that WrestleMania 41 will take place in Las Vegas, but the date has not yet been announced. WWE has also held discussions with London about bringing WrestleMania back to the United Kingdom.
