Powerhouse Hobbs, a co-worker of Paul Wight’s at AEW, is a person who Paul Wight speaks highly of.
The two big men were in a street fight with an eight-man tag-team on AEW Dynamite in November last year. Wight was knocked out of the match when Hobbs slammed Wight onto the hood a car. Wight and Hobbs then fought on opposing teams during a six-man match on the Chris Jericho Cruise in January.
In an interview with Downunder The Ring the former Big Show described Hobbs as being one of the most nicest, humblest people he has ever met in professional wrestling.

Wight said he usually gives advice to younger AEW talent about character traits.
Wight and Hobbs both have to be out of action for the time being while they recover from surgery. Wight had a partial replacement of his knee done earlier this season, while Hobbs underwent surgery to repair his patellar tendons.
The 52-year old Wight told Downunder The Ring he hopes to be back soon in the ring for one final run using his Captain Insano from the movie “The Waterboy”.
