The Yes Network interviewed Wight.

Paul Wight appreciates that AEW allows him to share his knowledge with younger talent.

Wight was interviewed on Sunday by The YES Network while attending a New York Yankees Spring Training match. He was asked to comment on his transition from WWE to AEW, after spending more than 20 years in the WWE.

Wight responded to:

It’s been great. I was fortunate to have worked for a large company for many years, all over the globe. At my age, I’m glad to be able to help younger talent by sharing my knowledge, getting a chance to speak on stage and improve their characters, and then getting in the ring to mix it up. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m grateful and thankful to the fans who still want to see me perform.

Wight made his AEW debut at All Out 2021, where he defeated QT Marshall. His last appearance on AEW was when he teamed with Kota Ibushi and Chris Jericho to defeat Brian Cage and the Don Callis family on the November 15th, 2023 Dynamite. He is 6-0 in his AEW Career, 7-0 if you count the match he won in January on the Jericho Cruise with Jericho, Mike Bailey and the Don Callis Family.
