New Trios Champions crowned.
The Patriarchy, consisting of Christian Cage, Nick Wayne and Killswitch, won the titles at Saturday’s Collision. They defeated The Bang Bang Gang, consisting of Juice Robinson and The Gunns, to take the vacant titles. Mother Wayne sprayed something in the eyes of Juice as he went for an unprettier. This caused Christian to reverse his direction and hit the killswitch.
Christian celebrated as Killswitch placed him on his shoulders. The lights flickered briefly as Christian celebrated, hinting that a future confrontation would be with the House of Black.
Christopher Daniels declared the titles vacant on Collision last week after it was announced Jay White was injured and out of action. The Bang Bang Gang tried to fix the issue by saying that Robinson will take his place. However, Daniels overruled the Bang Bang Gang and stripped them of their titles.
The Acclaimed had held the titles of the AEW Trios and ROH Six-Man Tag Team for 83 consecutive days before Bang Bang Gang defeated them to unify both titles. During the run of the trio, they held not only the AEW Trios titles but also The Acclaimed’s version of the Trios title, carrying nine titles simultaneously.
