Paddy Pimblett is one of the UFC fighters who are interested in possibly crossing over to WWE.
The 29-year old is scheduled to fight Bobby Green in a light-weight bout at UFC 304 tonight. He spoke to DAZN before the fight, and was asked if he would be interested in appearing with TKO’s wrestlers.
“Yes, that’s what I thought, to be honest,” Pimblett replied.
“I used to love WWE when I was a kid. Shawn Michaels The Heartbreak Kid, is my favourite fighter. I’d like to see Sweet Chin Music someone fight in the UFC cage. “When I was younger, XPac, D-Generation X was my favorite wrestler.”
“So yeah, I’d. WWE pays a lot of money and you have to have an interesting character. I have one. “So yeah, Triple H. If you ever wanted me to sign up, let me know. I’ll make a appearance for some money.”
Pimblett has a perfect 5-0 record in the UFC ever since he made his debut in September 2021. In his last fight, he beat Tony Ferguson by unanimous decision at UFC 296,
UFC president Dana White said he was open to the idea that fighters from UFC could join WWE.
White said, “Listen, I’m sure some of the fighters here have dreamed of doing a WWE or whatever match and I have no problem with that,” at a May post-event scrum. “I didn’t mind that when Vince used to f–k me without reason, and now that it’s not that way anymore, I would do it.”
Derrick Lewis, the UFC heavyweight champion, has said that he is in “talks” with WWE.
“Yeah. We are in actual talks right now. We’ve been in talks for a few weeks now. I was supposed go down there to check out everything in February.”
UFC 304: Edwards Vs Muhammad 2 will take place tonight at Co-Op Live, Manchester, England.
