The Owen Hart Foundation tournaments for men and women kicked off Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, with both PAC (Patricia A. Clarke) and Kris Statlander (Kris Statlander) advancing in the respective categories.
PAC defeated Claudio Castagnoli, securing a crucifix to end a pinning session between both men. He will now face the winner of the newly announced Bryan Danielson vs. ShingoTagaki bout, which will take place this month at Forbidden Door.
Kris Statlander, a former TBS Champion, advanced in the women’s tourney after she defeated former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla rose with a tombstone pilferer. She will face the winner of Willow Nightingale’s fight with Serena Deeb, which will take place on Friday’s Rampage.
On the men’s side, Jay White will face Rey Fenix in Dynamite on Wednesday next week. Jeff Jarrett is scheduled to take on a wildcard participant at a later date.
In the women’s bracket on the other hand, Mariah may will face Saraya and Hikaru Shida is going to go one-on-1 with Deonna Purrazzo. Both of these have not yet been given a date.
The finals will be held on Wednesday, 10th July, at Dynamite in Calgary Alberta, Canada.
