NXT Battleground moved to June in todays Wrestling news
The event was to compete with AEW Double Or Nothing.
NXT Battleground is reportedly being pushed to June.
Originally, the event was scheduled for Savannah, Georgia, on Sunday, May 26th, the same date as AEW’s Double or Nothing.
According to reports from WrestleVotes, and PWInsider, the show will now be held on Sunday, 9th June. WrestleVotes also reports that the UFC Apex will be the new venue.
The date has been pushed back. This means that NXT will only have a little over a month to go between NXT Battleground on Sunday, July 7, 2020 in Toronto, as part of Money in the Bank Weekend.
AEW Double or Nothing vs. NXT Battleground was a head-to-head match last year, on May 28, 2023.
Last week that 1,957 tickets were distributed for this year’s NXT Battleground. The Enmarket Arena was the venue. The following night, Raw is scheduled to take place at the same venue.
