NJPW Windy City Riot to feature Mustafa Ali and Hiromu Takahashi in todays Wrestling news
The former WWE superstar will make his NJPW début in April.
Mustafa Ali, a former WWE star, is set to make his NJPW début after challenging Hiromu Takahashi.
Ali challenged Takahashi to a match on Friday, April 12, at NJPW Windy City Riot in Chicago. The video aired during Saturday’s Battle in the Valley, a pay-per view. NJPW confirmed the match in a post on social media.
Ali, in his politician persona, delivered a promo behind a podium as he announced he would be bringing his “campaign”, to NJPW. He also called out Takahashi for Chicago. Ali is a native Illinoisan and a former Chicago suburb police officer.
Ali announced his departure from WWE on September 2023, after a turbulent seven-year tenure with the company. During that time, he publicly requested his release in 2022.
Ali announced his “world-tour campaign” in December 2023. In the video, he established his crusading political character.
Ali won his first post WWE match in France on Saturday. He then made his GCW debut at Friday’s No Compadre with a victory over Gringo Loco.
