NJPW The New Beginning, Sapporo, airs the video ‘Scapegoat Jack Perry’ in todays Wrestling news
Perry will make his NJPW debut in the ring at Windy City Riot, in April.
Jack Perry is on the hunt for Shota Umino.
A vignette was aired for “Scapegoat Jack Perry” during Saturday’s NJPW The New Beginning In Sapporo following Umino’s participation in a match between a tag-team in the main card opener.
Umino’s response to the video provocation was a very interesting threat directed at Perry:
When Perry made a surprise appearance at NJPW’s Battle in the Valley last year, he attacked Umino before tearing up his AEW contracts.
The “Scapegoat’ moniker is a reference to Perry, who was suspended indefinitely from AEW after a backstage altercation between CM Punk and Perry at All In last year. The tearing of the contract was an attempt to create a working shoot angle.
Perry will be appearing at NJPW Windy City Riot, which takes place on Friday, 12 April in Chicago. It seems that a matchup with Umino is likely to take place on this show. The Windy City Riot card now includes Tetsuya vs. Jon Moxley and Hiromu Takahashi.
Below is a social media post from NJPW World that includes Perry’s vignette.
