NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 31 to have Semifinals in todays Wrestling news
The NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 31, is down to the final four.
Taiji Ishimori, DOUKI and the rest of the B Block players competed in the last night of B Block at Korakuen Hall on Friday in Tokyo. They both secured their places in semifinals. Ishimori won the B Block with 14 points and a 7-2 record after defeating Hiromu Takahashi. DOUKI defeated Robbie Eagles and finished second with a record of 6-3 and 12 points.
Both semifinal matches will be played at Korakuen Hall on Monday, June 3. El Desperado will face DOUKI, and Ishimori will face TJP. The winners will face off in the finals at NJPW Dominion, which takes place on Sunday, June 9th.
Desperado (6-3) won A Block, while TJP (5-4), 10 points, finished second.
The four remaining wrestlers have never won Best of the Super Juniors. Desperado, Ishimori and Ishimori made it to the finals, but lost.
The winner of this tournament will face the IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion SHO. SHO won the title by counting out Desperado in February.
