Nikki Garcia’s rep has released the first statement she has made since her husband Artem was arrested on domestic violence charges Thursday. According to reports, injuries were involved.
The statement from US Weekly reads: “This is a personal matter, and Nikki requests privacy for herself and her family during this time.”
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office (California), which announced Thursday that “the victim has requested total confidentiality in this case,” does not know if Garcia is a victim.
The alleged incident(s), which took place on Thursday morning, occurred when local authorities responded to an emergency call for domestic violence at a location near Yountville. Chingvintsev, who was arrested for felony domestic abuse and booked in jail with a bail of $25,000, was later charged.
TMZ reported on Friday that Chingvintsev requested medical assistance after Garcia allegedly threw shoes at Chingvintsev. He then tried to cancel the phone call by saying he didn’t need medical assistance. The police still arrived at their house within an hour and arrested him without incident.
They were married in 2022 and first met on Dancing with the Stars, in 2019. They have a son, aged four.
