AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah may will rematch Anna Jay at next Saturday’s AEW collision. This is a no DQ battle with major implications if the challenger loses.
Jay made a promo during Saturday’s episode, criticizing May for her previous promo, in which she said that she hated women’s wrestling, called out the rest of the roster as weak, and claimed she had no opponents. Jay challenged May to a last chance, saying that if May couldn’t defeat her in a title match without a DQ, she would not challenge May for the title for as long as May holds it.
Jay defeated May during the Battle of the Belts Special in October. This earned her a title fight on Collision, which she won earlier this month.
The show will also feature Daniel Garcia, the top contender to Jack Perry’s TNT Title — facing off against Johnny TV on AEW TV for the very first time. MxM Collection is in TV’s corner, as they want him to form a three-man team with them.
The newly announced additions join the previously-announced LFI vs. The Acclaimed match will send the winner into a four-way for the AEW tag team titles at Full Gear.
Here’s the current lineup for next Saturday, set to be taped this Thursday in Albany, New York:
- AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May defends against Anna Jay in a no DQ match
- Johnny TV vs. Daniel Garcia
- Full Gear four-way Tag Team title qualifier: LFI (Rush & Dralistico) vs. The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens)
