The opponent for Arena Mexico has been determined.
Templario was the winner of a one-night event during CMLL Tuesday’s event. He defeated Averno after hitting a powerfulbomb from the top rope in the finals. He will now compete against MJF on August 2 for the AEW International Title.
The tournament also included Esfinge Flip Gordon Rugido Stuka Jr. Valiente and Zandokan Junior.
MJF appeared on a CMLL event via video and stated that his nearly-hour match with Will Ospreay against Ospreay had been the easiest match of the MJF’s life. He said the best thing he can do to help the international community is to give the title to those “masked morons” in Mexico.
Since CMLL and AEW forged a relationship, AEW wrestlers are making frequent appearances. Death Triangle (PAC Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix), will be in action on their show this Friday. Chris Jericho and Mistico will be fighting on their 91st anniversary show on September 13th.
