In the main match of the CMLL 91st anniversary show on Friday, the CMLL superstar defeated AEW Chris Jericho by two falls to one. Mistico, who had been submitted by Jericho’s Walls of Jericho during the first fall of the CMLL 91st Anniversary Show, evened the score in the second with a frog-splash. Mistico defeated Big Bill, countered the Judas effect and then submitted Jericho using the la mistica to win the submission.
Bill stomped on Mistico after the match. Orange Cassidy saved Jericho and Bill from attacking Mistico. Cassidy had been attacked by Jericho before the match. Cassidy gave Mistico Mistico’s sunglasses at the end of the show as Mistico was celebrating in ring.
In the comain event, Euforia lost his mask to Hechicero in a four way match that also included Valiente and Esfinge. Valiente, Esfinge and Euforia were eliminated. Euforia had a tight grip on the match until he missed his dive. Hechicero won by submission in a heated singles bout. Euforia revealed that he is Jose Leobardo Moreno Leon from Torreon, 49 years old.
