The city of Milwaukee has made a bid for WWE Money in the Bank to be held in Milwaukee next year.
The Milwaukee Business Journal published an article on Tuesday that revealed that the tourism group Sports Milwaukee was putting together a proposal for WWE Money in the Bank. If the city succeeds in their bid, the PLE will be held at Fiserv Forum, home to the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks.
In an earlier report, it was stated that Milwaukee hopes to host a future WWE Royal Rumble. Sports Milwaukee Director Marissa Werner thinks that bringing Money in the Bank into the city could help Milwaukee get chosen to host a larger WWE show in the near future.
“We hope this will open the door to a SummerSlam, or Royal Rumble,” Werner said in Milwaukee Business Journal.
Fastlane 2017 is the latest WWE PPV/PLE that took place in Milwaukee. Fiserv Forum will host WWE SmackDown on Friday, November 15, later this fall.
Money in the Bank will be held in Toronto Canada in July 2019 and London England in July 2023.
