Cole is focusing his efforts on his role as a radio commentator.

Michael Cole reportedly changed his WWE job duties.

PWInsider reported that Cole has “pulled back” from his management role behind the scenes of WWE announcers so that he could fully focus on his on-air duty. Cole is the main play-by-play announcer for WWE, calling WWE Raw as well as all of WWE premium live events.

PWInsider reported that “we are told this was a Cole-made decision, and the company had no problem with it.” The word is spreading that Sue Cundaro has taken over Cole’s former responsibilities. She has been with the company a long time, and has worked with him in managing announcers.

Cole joined WWE in 1997. He has never missed a show during his time working as a commentator. He is part of the Raw commentary team with Pat McAfee.

Cole is not only a WWE commentator, but he also hosts events, such as the pre-Backlash Kickoff in Lyon, France, which took place this afternoon. AJ Styles refused, and Cole gave Cody Rhodes a slap on the face.
