Mercedes Mone TBS title defence booked for next AEW Dynamite in todays Wrestling news
Mercedes Mone will defend her TBS Championship against CMLL Zeuxis in next week’s AEW Dynamite.
Tony Khan, AEW’s social media manager, announced the news in a post on his page. He noted that Zeuxis was Stephanie Vaquer’s tag-team partner in CMLL. Vaquer will defend the NJPW Women’s Strong Championship against Mone on Sunday, 30th June at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in a match that will also see Mone’s TBS Title at stake.
In a separate posting, Khan announced that “an informative video package”, for Saturday’s AEW Collision, would be available to help those who are unfamiliar with Zeuxis get up to speed.
Khan then mentioned in a subsequent post that if Zeuxis wins the TBS title at Dynamite, Vaquer’s NJPW title for Strong Women will be on the table at Forbidden Door.
Mone vs. Zeuxis will be the second title bout booked for Wednesday, June 12. Will Ospreay, who won the four-way number 1 contenders match this week, will also defend the AEW international championship on the show.
Next week’s Dynamite will also feature a TV Time segment with Chris Jericho.
