Mercedes Mone, the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, is coming to Washington DC.
NJPW announced on Wednesday night that Mone had been added to their lineup for Capital Collision, which will be held in Washington, DC at the Entertainment & Sports Arena on Friday August 30.
Mone’s opponent has not yet been announced.
Mone will be competing in her first match under the NJPW banner after the NJPW Strong Resurgence in May 2023, where she was injured in a match against Willow Nightingale and forced to miss an entire year of ring action.
Mone defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the NJPW Strong Woman’s Championship on June 30 at AEW x NJPW forbidden Door. Vaquer signed with WWE.
Capital Collision is available as a NJPW World pay per view.
