WWE’s house tour of Japan, which will take place later this month, features Meiko Satomura.
WWE will hold an event in Osaka, Japan’s Edion Arena, on Thursday 25th July. Then on the 26th and 27th of July they will host two nights at Ryogoku sumo hall in Tokyo. Satomura appears in the advertising for all three events along with Cody Rhodes Shinsuke Nakamura Asuka Kaira Sane Dakota Kai.
Satomura hasn’t wrestled for WWE in March 2023, when she lost against Roxanne Perez at Roadblock. Last month, Satomura wrestled for a show put on by Kenta Kobashi at Korakuen Hall. She defeated Yuu & Chihiro Hashimoto with Takumi and Takumi. Kobashi told Tokyo Sports later that WWE had given Satomura permission for the event.
Satomura made a cameo appearance for DDT in the Toden Train match on June 29, between Minoru Suzuki vs Sanshiro Taagi. The match was held on the Tokyo tram/railline.
Satomura joined WWE in January 2021. She was hired primarily to be a player/coach of the NXT UK Brand. She was a founding member of the Sendai Girls Promotion in 2006, following the closure Gaee Japan. Mercedes Mone, a former Gaee Japan employee, was also spotted at the Sendai Girls Dojo in January 2023.
