Meiko Satomura will officially end her career 30 years after she began.
Satomura’s Sendai Girls has announced a “Satomura The Final”, an event for April 29, 2025. It will be held 30 years and 2 weeks after her pro wrestling debut, April 15, 1995.
Her opponent has not yet been revealed.
Satomura announced her retirement in June. She then participated in three WWE house concerts in Japan the following month. On the final night, she challenged Bayley for WWE Women’s Championship.
Satomura began her career in 1995, when she joined the GAEA Promotion. She helped found Sendai Girls, a Japanese wrestling promotion in 2005 after the GAEA promotion closed. She signed with WWE as a NXT wrestler and coach in 2021. She was the last NXT UK Women’s champion before the title was unified in 2022 with the NXT Women’s Championship.
