Matt Taven, Undisputed Kingdom’s teammate and former TNT Champion Wardlow, shed some light on the reasons why Wardlow was absent.
Taven revealed during a podcast that the big man was currently “out” with a knee problem, but did not provide any details about the severity of the injury or when it occurred. He said that Wardlow was “just trying to find out what kind of treatment plan to get that knee back on track.”
The 36-year old hasn’t wrestled since March’s Big Business Dynamite edition, where he lost to the then-World champion Samoa Joe. It was believed that he had suffered a meniscus tear in a match with Komander the month before, but he wrestled three times following this including the Joe match.
Taven was asked about faction leader Adam Cole. He didn’t give any updates, but said that everyone is trying to focus their long-term health. He’ll be back as soon as he’s prepared. Cole has not been in action since sustaining a severe ankle fracture at the Grand Slam event last September.
