Matt Hardy said that his brother’s Bray Wyatt homage on TNA Impact last week was “unbelievably fantastic.”
Jeff Hardy wore a mask on Tuesday’s show that looked like the one worn by Wyatt as Fiend. Matt says that the final product was almost exactly the same as the image Jeff used for reference.
Matt said in the latest episode of the podcast that the mask was “100 percent inspired by the Fiend Mask”.
“Jeff asked, ‘Hey do you think it would be cool if we did this as a tribute?” I replied, “Yeah, man, that would be awesome, and I think your facepaint would look great.”
“It was exactly the same.” It was amazing. The image he used for his facepaint was exactly the same.
Matt said that Jeff wished he had more time to work with Wyatt and perhaps portray his Willow the Wisp role.
“That’s his biggest regret. Jeff was out the entire time I was working with Bray, until he turned and we became a half-assed tagging team. It was Jeff’s injury that started the whole thing.
“Jeff wishes he had gotten the chance to interact with that (character). He would have loved to do Broken Matt, Bray Wyatt/Fiend Whatever, and Willow. “Willow is something I believe we will see in TNA sooner than later because we have discussed that and that is something Jeff is passionate about.”
Matt would also post these comments on social media.
“Really wished my brother could’ve worked with Windham more. Windham was a gifted performer and a special person. I’m still so impressed & enamored by Jeff’s tribute to #TNAiMPACT on Thursday night. I don’t believe I’m the only one who wishes we could have seen Willow and The Fiend together on screen at least once.”
