Matt Hardy confirms Jeff Hardy’s return to AEW in todays Wrestling news
Jeff Hardy hasn’t wrestled since February.
Matt Hardy reports that Jeff Hardy’s medical clearance to return has been granted.
Jeff Hardy suffered an injury during a match taped with Sammy Guevara on February 14. Guevara’s left leg collided Hardy’s head during an attempted shooting-star press. Hardy appeared dazed. Bryan Alvarez, our own Bryan Alvarez, would later report that Hardy had suffered a broken nase but not a brain injury as initially feared.
Matt Hardy was questioned about Jeff’s situation during a YouTube Q&A on Wednesday. Matt Hardy replied that Jeff had been cleared to return.
Hardy said
I can tell you this. Jeff has seen his doctor, he’s seen the AEW physician, and as of today, a couple days ago, he was officially cleared. He’s cleared to wrestle, and I think he will be competing soon. I think he will be competing soon.
Jeff Hardy has finally been cleared of all charges after his nose was broken and his sinuses were smashed.
Guevara’s suspension was a result of the February 14 tape. It is believed that he was suspended because he gave Hardy the Go To Hell finisher instead of just pinning Hardy. It’s unclear why the match wasn’t stopped or halted by the referee when Hardy was injured. Guevara last wrestled on February 24, but hasn’t performed since.
