Matt Camp released from WWE in todays Wrestling news
Camp has been with the company for over a year.
Matt Camp is reportedly no longer with WWE.
Camp was hired in September 2019 by the company and has hosted shows such as The Bump and Raw Talk. He was also a regular host of WWE Kickoff shows, which are broadcast before premium live events.
According to a PWInsider report, Camp’s release “came as a bit of a surprise” to the people they spoke to. WWE has not commented publicly or internally on the matter. Nor has it given an explanation.
Fightful reports that Camp was fired from the company last Thursday.
Camp worked as an announcer in Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore before signing with WWE. Camp was also a fantasy-football analyst for Bleacher Report, and he appeared frequently on Busted Open Radio.
WWE hired Camp at the same time that McKenzie Mitchell was hired as an interviewer on backstage. Mitchell was also released by WWE in December.
