Masha Slamovich has been crowned the new Knockouts champion.
Slamovich won his title in the opening of three main events at the TNA Bound for Glory event in Detroit on Saturday. Grace attempted a Grace Driver from the top rope. Slamovich fought through and connected with an impressive superplex. She then followed up with a pilingdriver to seal the win and become Knockouts champion for the first ever.
After the match, Slamovich lifted Grace to her feet. The two hugged.
Grace held the title for 288 consecutive days. She won the title from Trinity (Naomi), at TNA Hard to Kill, on January 14. Grace won the Call Your Shot title at Bound for Glory last year.
Saturday’s match was the rematch of a match that took place two years ago, when Grace and Slamovich met at Bound for Glory. In that match Grace pinned Slamovich in order to retain her title.
