Martha Hart on Vince McMahon’s allegations: The level is beyond the pale in todays Wrestling news

Hart was a guest on NewsNation Banfield.

Martha Hart is not surprised by the sexual assault lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon.

Hart, the wife of wrestling legend Owen Hart appeared as a guest in-studio on NewsNation Banfield on Thursday. Hart admitted that she was “a bit reluctant” to appear on the show, as she doesn’t often do these types of interviews. However, the importance of the subject made her want to contribute.

Ashleigh Banfield asked Hart whether she was surprised at the details of Janel’s lawsuit. Grant, a former WWE worker, filed the lawsuit against McMahon and WWE in January. The suit accuses McMahon, of physical and mental abuse, sexual assault and sex-trafficking.

Hart responded:

No, I wasn’t surprised to hear about yet another lawsuit. WWE has had many lawsuits over the years and a lot bad press. I’m telling you, the 67 pages of that complaint are absolutely horrifying. I’m sorry to say, but the level of wickedness described in this complaint is beyond comprehension. Anyone with a shred humanity would find these indignant actions incomprehensible.

It wasn’t surprising that another lawsuit was filed, but it was shocking to see the level of depravity. I am a doctor of mental health, and also the founder and Director of the Owen Hart Foundation. So no matter what hats I wear, I always work to help people at risk. I can tell that anyone who takes advantage of vulnerable people is the most despicable person. These are people who need to be protected and supported, not exploited. Janel Grant admitted that she was vulnerable. She was unemployed and her parents had died. She was grieving, and was on the verge of financial ruin. All of these things make a person vulnerable.

Hart’s legal battles with McMahon, and WWE, began after the death of her husband in 1999. WWE settled a wrongful death suit for an estimated $18 million. Hart sued WWE again for using Owen Hart’s likeness and name without permission. This suit was also settled.

Hart told Banfield her lawsuits were a battle between “David” and “Goliath”.

I went toe-to -toe with Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon and their company twice – it was a David vs. Goliath fight. It was a savage fight and they would stop at nothing to defend themselves. They are a billion-dollar company and they can delay cases, muddy the water, detract from the case, and do so by doing this. In that sense, wealthy people can afford to hire the best attorneys and have their might on their side. Many wealthy people feel that their wealth has no limits, so they have no boundaries. They feel they can get away with doing anything.

Hart was asked what advice she would give to Janel Grant.

I would tell you to stay the course. Her claim is very credible. I would stay steadfast and not back down.

Vince McMahon has resigned as CEO of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE. This was after Grant’s suit was filed. McMahon is vowing to vigorously defend against the allegations.

Since 2022, Hart and AEW have partnered to present the Owen Hart Foundation annual tournament. The foundation supports local communities, national communities, and international community through housing, scholarship, and partnership programs.
