Marigold is planning to run its first shows in America next year.
Tokyo Sports published a story on Monday that revealed Marigold founder/owner Rossy Ogawa’s plans to put on a show during WrestleMania Week in Las Vegas. Ogawa claims that by then, Giulia’s presence in WWE would have increased Marigold’s awareness in the United States.
“I think that the name Marigold will also be spread as Giulia moves over there. We must seize our own opportunity to spread Marigold’s name in Las Vegas, next April. To prepare for this, I must start now,” Ogawa said in a Tokyo Sports translation.
The article also mentions that Stardom, founded by Ogawa in 2011, did not run its first show in America until 2015.
Ogawa continued, “At the time, Stardom gradually spread throughout the world. I think that it was a chance for Iyo and Kairi to be aware of the rest of the world.”
Giulia said “arrivederci to Marigold” after yesterday’s performance at the Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, Tokyo. Her wrestling 26 opponents in an gauntlet-match was the highlight of the show. She is expected to join WWE soon.
