Maria Kanellis Bennett is taking the next steps to overcome a difficult situation.
Kanellis Bennett shared on Monday that a mass was found on her adrenal gland. It’s not clear if the mass is cancerous at this time. She has an appointment set for later this month.
Kanellis Bennett noted that six months prior, she had requested to have her adrenal glands and bloodwork done. However, the insurance company refused to cover this. The mass was discovered accidentally during another test.
“So, fun story… six months ago, I requested to have my adrenal glands and hormone levels checked because of symptoms that I was experiencing. Insurance refused to approve the tests. Fast forward to today, when I had a CT scan with contrast done to check for a mass found accidentally by another test. It was either on my adrenal gland or kidney. Moral of the story… Listen to your body,” wrote she.
“So, here’s the update. It is a mass in my adrenal gland. The next step is to meet with an endocrinologist. It is not conclusive if it’s cancer at this stage. “In other news, I ate French fry and a concrete mix and I feel a bit better.”
Kanellis Bennett confirmed her appointment today in a tweet.
She wrote: “Appointment set for July 30th to discuss next steps at Rush Copley Medical Center,” This weekend Mike is off, so we’re taking the kids to Indianapolis for a weekend getaway to get my mind off of things and see dinosaurs at the Children’s Museum.
Kanellis-Bennett, her husband Mike Bennett and both of them currently perform for Ring of Honor. Bennett & Matt Taven hold the ROH Tag Team Championships, while Maria manages Cole Karter and Griff Garrison. Karter is currently out of action after undergoing surgery to repair a broken arm.
