Liv Morgan’s December arrest for marijuana has been officially resolved.
The case against Morgan, whose real name is Gionna Daddio, has been closed according to court records. Morgan was arrested in Florida on December 20, 2023, for possession of a synthesized cannabinoid as well as possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams). After the possession of synthetic cannabinoid was dropped last month, only the possession charge remained.
Morgan’s possession charge of marijuana was transferred to a misdemeanor after the more serious charge of synthetic cannabinoid was dropped.
Morgan entered a nolo contendere plea to the charge of possession of marijuana on January 31. The case is listed with “adjudication held,” which means Morgan has not been formally convicted. She is listed as having to pay $543 in assessment.
Morgan was arrested after a Sumter County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled him over on December 14. The deputy said that Morgan’s car crossed the yellow and white lines “several” times on the road. After approaching Morgan’s car, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana. The deputy found a vape pen, and a small bag of marijuana in a plastic bag.
Morgan was not punished by WWE for her arrest. She was injured with a shoulder at the time, but returned to action in the women’s Royal Rumble. Morgan was one of two wrestlers who remained at the end of her match in the Rumble. Bayley defeated her to win.
Morgan will face Zoey Stark on Raw on Monday in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber. Becky Lynch is already qualified for the Elimination chamber bout. The winner will face Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in WrestleMania.
