Kevin Nash claims that Sting asked him to attend his final match.
Nash and Sting have worked together often throughout their careers. They began in 1991, when Nash wrestled as Oz in Jim Herd’s WCW. They would later work together as members of The Millionaires Club and The NWO Wolfpac.
Nash revealed on a recent Kliq This podcast that he is unable to attend AEW Revolution because of his legend’s contract with WWE.
Nash said
I was asked to be a member of the event by (Sting), but I refused because of my position with the company. I could not even be in the audience.
Nash replied:
I think he wanted to have me there because I was one of the guys who (was) with him throughout the entire run.
He continued by saying that Sting was disappointed Nash could not be there.
Yeah, I believe he was disappointed. I was disappointed but I knew it. I asked. You know that moment when you ask and there is a pause of three or four seconds and then it’s like, “Okay.”
Sting’s last match for AEW revolution is set to take place at The Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, 3 March. Sting will team up with Darby Allen to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships versus The Young Bucks.
