Kelani Jordan’s first title defense set for next WWE NXT in todays Wrestling news
WWE NXT will feature Kelani Jordan’s debut defense of the Women’s North American Championship and a battle royal that will determine Trick Williams’ new challenger.
Jordan, who won the Women’s North American Champion title in a ladder match at the Battleground last Sunday, will defend her title against Michin during the WWE NXT episode on June 18.
Michin received the title shot from NXT General Manager Ava in a segment that took place behind-the-scenes on Tuesday’s episode.
WWE revealed on Tuesday that the NXT Championship of Trick Williams will be decided by a battle royal in next week’s episode.
Cody Rhodes, the undisputed WWE Champion, announced during a special appearance on NXT TV this week that a 25 man battle royal will be held for the show on June 18. He noted that wrestlers from “other locker rooms” could take part in the event, hinting interpromotional involvement, perhaps by TNA.
