Carter & Chance defeated Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Kayden Carter and Katana chance are the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Carter & Chance won titles from Chelsea Green & Piper Niven, pinning Green after their afterparty finisher – a neckbreaker/450 combo. They won a number-one contender’s match last week on Raw, defeating Indi Hardwell and Candice leRae.

Kofi Kingston, dressed as Kofi Klaus, joined the two at the backstage celebration after the match. Natalya (with TeganNox) commented as they left that new champions bring new number one contenders. Shayna (with Zoey) Stark agreed when the two teams met.

Triple H congratulated X’s new champions shortly after their victory.

Green and Sonya Deville won the titles on Raw’s 17th July edition. Deville was forced to retire from the ring shortly after winning her titles after she tore her ACL. Piper Niven became Green’s tag team partner the following month. WWE sees this as the continuation of Green’s reign alongside Deville.
