After news broke in April that she reportedly had signed an AEW deal, former NWA Women’s Champ Kamille made a surprise promotional return Wednesday on Dynamite. She aligned with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.
Mone appeared after Britt Baker defeated Hikaru Shida. She said she wanted Baker to know the answer to her challenge for All In. She laughed and distracted Baker before saying “no”, and Kamille entered from behind to knock Baker out with a pump-kick.
She then placed the former AEW Women’s Champion on a torture rack, followed by a plane spin power bomb, before Mone entered the ring to ensure that the two could stand tall above Baker.
Kamille made her first appearance on AEW Dynamite in July 2021, when she faced Leyla Hirsch before their title match at NWA Empower that year.
Kamille became a Free Agent at the end 2023. She said on social media that she had signed somewhere around February. Later, she jokingly claimed she was talking about signing autographs.
Kamille has been a pro since 2017. She is best known for holding the NWA Women’s Champion title for over 800 days between 2021 and 2023. In January, there was some talk about her signing with WWE before moving to NXT.
