Jordynne Grace, TNA Knockouts champion, won’t forget the opportunity she had to win the WWE NXT Women’s Title at Sunday’s NXT Battleground. One of the reasons is that her right earring was ripped out in the match.
The earring was caught in Roxanne Perez’s fishnets and ripped off during the match. This caused blood to be visible after it was removed. Grace confirmed the injury to X Monday. She shared a photo of the aftermath, and joked that after years without any issues, her ear piercings will “retire from in-ring activity.”
Grace failed in her attempt at dethroning Perez and becoming a champion of two companies. She will defend her title in an open challenge at TNA Against All Odds on Friday.
Two candidates include NXT’s Tatum Paxley, and TNA’s Ash By Elegance. Both were laid out by Grace in the match after Paxley stole Grace’s Knockouts title and Ash made a surprise entrance to try to tear it off.
