Jon Moxley will challenge for IWGP World Title at NJPW Windy City Riot in todays Wrestling news
Moxley will compete for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title in Chicago.
It is official.
On Friday, April 12, in Chicago, Jon Moxley will face Tetsuya Nito for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Moxley and Shota Umino won the NJPW Sakura Gensis event on Saturday, defeating Jack Perry and Ren Narita.
Moxley returned to the ring after Tetsuya Naito successfully defended his main event title against Yota tsuji. They agreed that Naito’s title would be on the line in Chicago.
Moxley vs. Naito was already announced as the main pay-per view event, but the title-match element was still in question before Naito’s victory at Sakura Genesis.
Windy City Riot will stream on NJPW World pay-per-view for $19.99 on Friday, April 12 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The show’s lineup:
